Merry Christmas!

Thursday 24 December 2009

3 years ago. I remember almost empty Berlin on December, 25th, empty streets, closed shops and cafes and 5 Russian students in Germany having their small presents under a small Christmas tree. The day after was one of the happiest for me, though it doesn’t matter now.
2 years ago. Maria Thuvander told me how they’re used to celebrate Christmas, what they eat, drink, how they serve the table, what they do (oh, they watch Kalle Anka! So cool!) That November when we mat in Kalmar, Sweden I gave her a Russian doll in that Snow Maiden costume, she liked it – and sent me a photo of this doll in her decorated room. That year I almost felt it, this wonderful Christmas spirit..
1 year ago. Nothing did matter.
And now. I’m really trying to create this magical Christmas spirit in our home. It’s difficult because everyone is working and has no time getting ready for the New Year Holiday. But I’m doing my best – we have a wonderful shining star in our room, and presents are almost ready.

And actually.. I just want to wish Merry Christmas, Frohe Weihnachten and God Jul to all who will read it. And a wonderful magical happy joyful Holiday to all of you!
